We’ve provided some general guidelines around what to bring to treatment at Clarion Psychiatric Center. For the safety of all patients, some items are not allowed on the units. Those items will be sent home when possible or stored until discharge. Upon admission, patients have the opportunity to select their belongings and get phone numbers out of their cell phone.
With staff supervision, adult patients may have access to makeup/cosmetics that are kept in a clear bag.
Toiletry items are provided. Washers and dryers are available for our patients to use and additional items can be provided as clinically necessary. Belongings that are delivered at any time following admission will be given to the patient based on the inventory of what the patient already has and is permitted to have. Extra items will be secured until discharge.
The items on this list are considered contraband, and may not be brought to our facility. This list is not exhaustive, and additional items may be prohibited if our staff has any concerns about patient safety.
Additionally, we do not allow the follow on the child and adolescent unit:
Should you have any questions pertaining to the visiting guidelines or patient belongings, please ask to speak to the Charge Nurse on the assigned unit or an RN Supervisor.
