Treatment at Clarion Psychiatric Center

Clarion Psychiatric Center offers treatment for children, adolescents and adults who face psychiatric, behavioral or emotional problems. We make it our mission to provide each of our patients with the care we would expect for ourselves or a loved one. In other words, we treat our patients like family.

Located on 14 acres in Western Pennsylvania, Clarion Psychiatric Center has provided a peaceful therapeutic environment for patients and their families for over 30 years.

Because we understand that each person is unique, all of our treatment plans are individually designed to meet the specific needs of each patient. The focus of treatment is practical and solution-focused with an emphasis on symptom reduction and teaching healthy coping skills.

We also recognize that the majority of those we serve are survivors of trauma. As a provider of trauma-informed care, our staff work to understand how past traumas may influence a patient’s response to treatment.

Some of the issues we treat include:

  • Anxiety and panic disorder
  • Depression
  • Suicidal thoughts or actions
  • Extreme anger and aggression
  • Emotional disorders that are complicated by a dependency on drugs or alcohol (co-occurring disorders)
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Paranoia
  • Schizophrenia/hallucinations/delusions
  • Attention deficit disorder
  • Family conflicts
  • Other emotional difficulties
