Partial Hospitalization for Children and Adolescents

Our Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides acute short-term treatment during the day for ages 10 to 18 if still in school. Partial hospitalization provides a vital alternative for those who do not require inpatient treatment, who need intensive follow-up after an inpatient stay, or who lack enough support at home to be successful as an outpatient.

Our PHP for children and adolescents facilitates the transition from inpatient care to the patient’s return home by offering on-campus day treatment in a comfortable setting.

Partial Hospitalization Program Elements

  •  An on-campus program providing acute, structured and short term treatment during the day so that patients can return home at night
  • Close psychiatric monitoring by a psychiatrist
  • Group therapy, skills training and psychoeducational groups
  • Weekly family meetings and education support groups
  • Educational classes in a licensed on-site classroom
  • A psychiatrist-led multidisciplinary treatment team of mental health professionals that includes master’s level clinicians, an allied therapist and a certified special education teacher

The PHP program runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
