Do you treat drug and alcohol problems as well as mental health issues?2024-07-29T15:14:27+00:00

While we understand that a number of people have a co-occurring disorder, our primary focus is treating your mental health needs. Our social work staff will work closely with you during your stay to help ensure a more specific drug and alcohol treatment plan upon your discharge.

What type of counseling will I receive when I am there and what are the requirements for attending sessions?2024-07-29T15:14:52+00:00

Treatment groups which include social work, nursing, art, movement and music will be a big part of your treatment and we encourage you to attend as often as you can.

Can I get on the internet, or have access to music?2024-07-29T15:15:14+00:00

Music can be provided on an as-needed basis on the unit. If there is a need for internet usage, please discuss this with your social worker.

You may bring one book with you back on the unit. These will be reviewed by your treatment team to determine whether they are appropriate.

Where will my personal possessions be stored, and is it a safe place?2024-07-29T15:12:19+00:00

You will be permitted to keep certain belongings with you. Other belongings will be kept secure until your discharge.

How soon will I see a psychiatrist upon admission?2024-07-29T15:12:25+00:00

You will see a psychiatrist within 24 hours of admission.

What will my day look like while in treatment?2024-07-29T15:12:32+00:00

Upon admission, you will identify your goals for treatment. All of your activities and therapy will be centered on wellness and recovery, but addresses your own identified issues.

Medications will be reviewed by your treating physicians, to include your psychiatrist and medical doctor. They will work with you to decide what is necessary.

Please inform staff upon admission of any dietary restrictions so that the dietary staff in our cafeteria can be informed.

Your length of stay will be dependent upon your progress in treatment and will be a decision by you and your treatment team.

Any restrictions imposed are developed to ensure the comfort and safety of all who choose to seek wellness here. The units are secured separately from one another and the facility as a whole is kept secure. Limits that are placed, such as visiting times or cell phone use, help ensure the privacy of others and allow you to focus on treatment, making your time with us as productive and focused as possible.

Your family is welcome to come visit with you and you will be provided with a visitation schedule upon admission. In addition, alternate visitation times can be arranged if needed.

There are specified times when patients may go outside in the courtyards.

Will I have a roommate, and what if it becomes an issue?2024-07-29T15:13:15+00:00

You will likely have a roommate. If you have difficulties with your roommate, please discuss that with your staff so it can be reviewed.

Can I bring my cell phone, and how can I communicate with family?2024-07-29T15:13:21+00:00

Cell phones are not permitted on the units; however, if you arrive with your cell phone we will secure it in a safe place until your discharge. You may use the facility phones to contact your family during your stay.
